Wake up; it's time for a 40th Reunion!
We need someone in the Dundee area to chair the organization of a 40th Reunion, with help to track down old classmates, organize a time and place for the participants to gather once again. If you like the challenges of life and have some time and organizational skills, along with the desire to be a leader, here is your chance to become a shining star for the DCHS Class of 1966.
Imagine meeting our now more mature crushes, the jocks, the car club members, cheerleaders, the loners and quiet ones that have turned the other way, those that have not changed, and also learning about those that have already joined the spirit world. Where have we all gone, what have we done, who are we spend our lives with? If you have ever had these thoughts or asked yourself these questions, it's time to stand up to the plate and put the effort in to bring the 200 of us back together as much as possible. Life is fleeting, life is short, and the common bond we all shared over those formidable years together is forever etched in our minds and hearts. Let's pull it together and share the memories, laugh, and see each other at least one more time before it is too late for any of us to do so.

Hey DCHS class of '73...
Well the time has come to start thinking of our July reunion. Southwest flights are going on sale Wednesday Jan 9 for the summer. To get the lowest price you must book on that day even if you guess wrong to when you are coming. VERY IMPORTANT.... Book your out bound and return separate (meaning do NOT do a round trip on the same invoice). If you need to change one of the flights you will not get dinged for the other. The fare will be the same and is easier to change if you have to. If you need help booking or have any questions please call me at 530.274.3839 or 530.277.9795. The longer you wait the lower fares get taken.
My plan (just to give you an idea) is to fly in on Sunday or Monday 20/21 and fly home on the last flight on Sunday July 27.
Anyone needing Hotel phone numbers for accommodations email me (postalb@yahoo.com) or Robin (rgedge@Sidley.com). I can also see if we can get a block of rooms at the discount for that weekend. Let me know if anyone is interested.

tenative schedule Thursday July 24: Cubs vs Marlins
Friday July 25: Gathering at Mine and Keith's place in Dundee (this could change to another place but due to cost this seems to be the best as everyone wants big bucks to hold this gathering) Too many don't want to do Bandito's which is free to go to and can hold us.
Saturday July 26: Dinner cruise in St Charles. This cruise can only hold 100 people but sounds like a lot of fun. I would say as soon as we get the cost and final arrangements you should send checks in as it will be on a first come basis (paid only basis).
Sunday July 27: Maybe a breakfast or lunch picnic, but this is only a thought at this point.
Cost: Approx $35 per person.

The FIRST HALF of our REUNION PARTY EVENTS will be a PICNIC from 11am - 1pm ON THE GROUNDS OF DCHS !!! Amy True spoke with Mr. Al Zinke and has coordinated the picnic...with food and TOUR OF THE SCHOOL with all renovations!! We will have use of the grounds for playing (Bring your A-GAME everyone!!Soccer) and it is sure to be a blast !!! Simple main course to be served and feel free to bring a dish to pass, it's TOTALLY NOT REQUIRED- ESPECIALLY FOR OUT-OF-TOWNERS.....but if you make a GREAT side dish, or dessert that you are proud of, it could be your time to SHINE!!! Bring the kids (Yep!! The ENTIRE family !!) as kids are WELCOMED here !! How neat to show off your kids to your grade/middle/high school crush !!Event #2 = CLASSMATES DINNER !!!!

After the picnic, hire a sitter because the SECOND HALF is going to be a more formal affair (Business casual attire....no Prom dresses or tuxedo suits required...but no jeans, flip flops or shorts either. :-) ) at the Eagles Club in Gilberts. Make no bones about it.....this is NOT going to be a stuffy affair !! You will be fed well but it will be a relaxed, fun atmosphere.....no formal sit down dinner.PhotobucketMix and mingle at will !! Hopefully you won't have pulled a hamstring playing softball during the picnic earlier in the day as we will be having a LIVE DJ to dance to that will be playing all the greatest 80's hits.......and don't be shy to request favorites from other years too !
So if you are traveling in from out of State, schedule your vacation time at work, book your plane travel and start getting ready now because this Reunion Party is ON !!
